G2 Software Systems, Inc. (G2) is seeking a Cyber Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) & Cybersecurity Engineer to support a U.S. Government customer by providing technical expertise in waveform resiliency, cybersecurity, and contested communications environments.
About the Role:The CEMA & Cybersecurity Engineer provides technical expertise in waveform resiliency, cybersecurity, and contested communications environments. The role focuses on analyzing tactical waveforms for CEMA, Electronic Protection (EP), Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), and cybersecurity compliance, and advising stakeholders on threat mitigation and resiliency. Expertise may be weighted toward either CEMA/EW or cybersecurity, with working knowledge across both domains.
Responsibilities:- Serve as the subject matter expert for CEMA, waveform cybersecurity, EP, DCO, and contested communications.
- Conduct technical analyses of Software Defined Radio (SDR) waveforms in accordance with DoDI 4630.09, DoD 5000.02, and applicable cybersecurity policies.
- Review waveform requirements, designs, security artifacts, and test results to assess resiliency and cybersecurity.
- Develop concise analysis narratives, observations, risk assessments, and summaries.
- Support and evolve waveform cybersecurity and resiliency analysis methodologies.
- Participate in technical peer reviews and meetings.
- Support development of resiliency and cybersecurity test plans and evaluation criteria.
- Collaborate with DoD stakeholders, industry partners, and Intelligence Community partners.
- Represent the program at EW, cybersecurity, and threat mitigation events.
- Provide technical input and status updates to leadership.
- 8+ years of experience supporting DoD wireless communications systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience conducting cybersecurity and/or resiliency assessments of tactical communications systems.
- Knowledge of RF communications, tactical radios, waveforms, and spectrum operations.
- Knowledge of adversary threats, EW techniques, and COMSEC/TRANSEC.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition and cybersecurity policies (e.g., DoDI 8500.01, 8510.01).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Experience supporting a DoD Program Management Office.
- DoDD 8140.01 Cyber Workforce certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
- Familiarity with NSA certification processes, CNSS policy, and NIST CVEs.
- Experience working with the U.S. Intelligence Community.
- Experience in Signals Intelligence (SIGINT).
- Experience in Joint Operations.
- Experience in Offensive Cyber Operations.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate each department at G2 and at the assigned client facilities.
