• Having an understand of IPv 6 protocols is highly desired but if candidates have IPv 4 experience they will accept that as well.
• 6 years of direct experience and BA Degree preferred but will take years of experience over Degree. 10 years no degree. 8 years with AA degree.
• BGP
- Border Gateway Protocol experience is highly desired.

Description:

* Candidate must be proficient with Internet Protocols v4(IPv4) or v6 (IPv6)*. The client is switching to IPv6 and candidates will need to know how the addresses are derived, the classes of IPv4/v6, and what the general addresses look like. Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software, budgetary, and support facilities and/or equipment.
- Provides quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing software products.
- Provides analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces and all system level requirements to provide an integrated IT solution.
- Develops integrated system test requirement, strategies, devices and systems. Directs overall system level testing.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
- Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
- May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
- Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications.
- Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements.
- Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Qualifications

• BA/S in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related field is required. A combination of experience and education may be accepted in lieu of degree.

• Six years (6+) of relevant technical experience is required.

• Experience with IPv4, IPv6 and other protocals required.

• Intermediate-to-advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.

• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

• Certifications required: IAT II (Security + CE) and need to be able to obtain CCNA 6 months from start date
