Job Title:
Oracle Financial Functional Consultant
Duration: 12+ Months with possible extension
Work Shift: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $50 – $69/hr on W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Financial Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Oracle ERP R12 Financial modules to support configuration, testing, and implementation efforts.
The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert (SME), providing recommendations for best practice solutions across finance processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory and SOX requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as SME to analyze, provide solutions, configure, and test Oracle R12 financial modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, SLA, Tax) and related processes.
- Configure new Operating Units (OUs) and financial modules as required; prepare comprehensive configuration documentation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, accounting teams, and analysts to gather requirements and define project roadmaps.
- Develop functional specifications for program development, reports, and third-party integrations; act as liaison between business and technical teams.
- Create test plans, write test scripts, execute end-to-end testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Troubleshoot finance module issues, third-party integrations, and data discrepancies; leverage SQL knowledge for problem resolution.
- Work with software vendor support for system issues and bug fixes (Oracle Support, etc.).
- Manage cross-functional collaboration, track project progress, communicate risks, and assess business impacts.
- Prepare technical and non-technical documentation; deliver presentations and updates to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ERP Oracle Application Functional Finance expertise: General Ledger (GL), Subledger Accounting (SLA), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Tax (EbTax & Vertex)
- Strong finance domain knowledge and understanding of regulatory/SOX environments
- Working knowledge of SQL queries for troubleshooting and reporting
- Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) related finance processes
- Exposure to the iProc/PO module is a plus
- Experience with third-party interfaces (e.g., labor accounting, exchange rates, etc.)
Experience Requirements:
- 7+ years as an Oracle (ERP) financial functional consultant
- 5+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor’s degree
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field (preferred)
