Job Summary
Battelle has been providing research, development, test and evaluation services in support of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives defense for over 60 years. As part of our mission support, Battelle is working with the Capability Program Executive (CPE) Joint Project Lead (JPL) for CBRN integration. Our support will facilitate the advancement of the enterprise information management system to support nexgen CBRN threat warning and reporting, hazard prediction, and decision support capabilities for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of CBRN defense information.
We are looking for a Test Engineer to perform the following activities in conjunction with this mission space
With general direction, must lead training coordination, fielding activities, and help desk support for CBRNE software training and fielding.
May lead moderately complex training programs.
Will apply principles of engineering for specialized product, system, or software training and fielding.
Develops and updates training materials as necessary
Responsible for determining the best technically sound methods to ensure accurate training and fielding, ensuring consistency and repeatability.
Must manage all user accounts for training.
Must provide technical support during all training and fielding exercises.
Must contribute to curriculum development and ensure compliance with DoD standards
Documents and analyzes test cases and provides feedback and recommendations for curriculum changes.
Ensures training and fielding procedures are in compliance with any required DoD standards.
Contributes to the development of improvements to overall training and fielding and quality programs for improved results.
May coordinate with vendors or suppliers to modify or develop training curriculums.
Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
Conducts small technical projects or phases of technical projects.
May provide technical direction to and coordinate the efforts of engineers and technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects within time and budget constraints
Assists with proposal efforts as needed.
Builds relationships with internal and external clients and presents research results.
Communicates with client with regards to the schedule and quality of deliverables.
Supports business development efforts led by others and secures follow-on work.
May assists with the coordination of and participation in Battelle- sponsored conferences.
May participate in scientific conferences and peer review panels and works to increase company visibility through publications.
Oversees, mentors, and trains lower-level staff
Bachelor’s degree in related field with 5 years of experience or master’s degree in related field with 2 years of experience or PhD; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
Must have a DoD Secret security clearance.
Location: Government site in San Diego, CA or Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD
Preferred QualificationsThe individual shall have over 20 years of experience in CBRN software training and fielding. They must lead training coordination, fielding activities, and help desk support. Responsibilities include developing and updating training materials, managing user accounts, and providing technical support during exercises. The individual must contribute to curriculum development and ensure compliance with DoD standards.
