Senior Network Administrator — Lead the backbone of IT infrastructure and manage enterprise-level networking across multiple client sites.
What You’ll Do- Lead the design, implementation, and support of scalable network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless, etc.).
- Assist in analysis and support of IT problems to ensure efficient resolution.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, availability, and security using industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, escalating and coordinating with vendors as needed.
- Configure and maintain VLANs, STP, LACP, QoS, and security protocols.
- Administer and maintain systems including Cisco, VMware, Azure, SQL Server, SharePoint, Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Office 365.
- Manage virtualization platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure.
- Oversee system audits, documentation, and disaster recovery planning.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
- Travel to client sites locally as needed (mileage reimbursement provided).
- 5+ years of experience in network administration and IT infrastructure support.
- Proven expertise in switching, routing, and firewall management.
- Advanced knowledge of network security practices and access controls.
- Strong command of Microsoft environments, including Office 365 and Active Directory.
- Experience managing virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, ESXi, Azure).
- Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified.
- Experience working in an MSP (Managed Services Provider) environment is a plus.
