Job SummaryBoarhog will hire a Systems Administrator to support the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC). The incumbent will provide Network Administrative Support, Information Management, Computer and LAN Administration, Cyber Security, System Assessment and Authorization,
Functional Area
Needs Analysis, Technical Documentation and Technical Helpdesk Support. The role requires travel to locations such as Mayport FL, Pearly Harbor HI, Everett WA, Norfolk VA, Rota Spain and Yokosuka Japan.
- Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN architecture and bandwidth management.
- Perform performance tuning, network traffic flow analysis and remote‑access configuration.
- Implement and maintain VPN security and network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
- Use troubleshooting tools (ping, trace route, nslookup) and maintain file‑system implementations.
- Oversee virtualization technologies and virtual‑machine management.
- Apply IT security principles, firewall configurations, DMZs, encryption and system hardening techniques.
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments and ensure compliance with national and international laws and regulations.
- Administer server and client operating systems, perform diagnostic actions and maintain operating‑system command‑line tools.
- Maintain system‑maintenance procedures including cleaning, disk checks, reboots and backups.
- Deploy and manage cloud environments (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and migrate workloads.
- Provide technical documentation and training to end users.
- Respond to technical helpdesk requests and support users.
- Four (4) years of system‑management experience.
- Certification: IAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
- Current SECRET clearance at the time of award (Tier 3/ T3R incurred within last 10 years).
- Proficiency with network administration, cybersecurity, system hardening and cloud computing.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
All contractor personnel shall possess, at a minimum, a current SECRET clearance as specified in the Task Order.
