Summary:
Qualcomm Government Technologies (QGOV) is seeking Product Marketing Manager to drive the communication, promotion, and adoption of our capabilities into the government and defense sectors. This role is pivotal in promoting our product and technology strategy - from concept and definition through delivery - ensuring alignment across our commercial and consumer roadmaps as well as mission‑critical government applications.
- Drive the communication of product positioning, messaging and differentiation for government and defense applications internally and externally.
- Deliver high‑impact presentations that communicate product roadmaps and capabilities to customers, and channel customer feedback and requirements into QGOV product planning.
- Coordinate a cohesive communication strategy with input from Engineering, Program Management, Product Management, and Business Development teams.
- Support go‑to‑market planning, messaging, and positioning in collaboration with Product Management and Business Development teams.
- Translate technical features into clear, compelling customer benefits through collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, and Business Development teams.
- Engage directly with customers, ecosystem partners, and sales teams to drive communication that results in Qualcomm technology design wins and adoption.
- Represent Qualcomm at trade shows, webinars, and industry events to promote capabilities and demonstrate leadership in government and defense spaces.
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
- OR Associate's degree or equivalent and 5+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
- OR High school Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of Product Management, Product Marketing or Business Development experience.
- Proven experience of interfacing with prospective and established customers.
- Strong understanding of the government and defense spaces and their events.
- 10+ years of experience in event planning and product/technology communication.
- Collaborate effectively across technical and non‑technical teams in a fast‑paced, innovative environment to achieve product communication and positioning.
- Demonstrates executive presence, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience publishing (e.g., writing, reviewing, editing) product and event documentation.
- Proven experience collaborating with global teams to successfully communicate and transition new products to market.
- Strong customer engagement skills, including negotiation, communication, and presentation.
- Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and enthusiastic, with a commitment to achieving objectives.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface at all organizational levels.
