You’ll work cross-functionally with IT, Cybersecurity, and document owners to ensure documentation is accurate, well-structured, secure, and compliant with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements—including proper handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). You’ll play a key role in document lifecycle management, change control, and compliance readiness by managing documents from draft through final release and controlled storage.

This role is designed to support a focused documentation and compliance initiative and is expected to be a temporary assignment aligned to project needs.
This is a temporary role lasting up to six months.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Gather & Analyze Technical Information: Interview IT team members, observe processes, and conduct research to accurately capture technical and procedural information.
  • Support Document Change Control: Manage document numbering, versioning, review coordination, approval workflows, release processes, and controlled distribution.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with IT teams to resolve documentation, technical, or process-related issues.
  • Ensure Security & Compliance: Provide guidance on document security classification, including CUI marking expectations, approved storage locations, and handling requirements.
  • Correct Documentation Issues: Assist in identifying and correcting improperly marked or improperly stored IT documentation in coordination with document owners and IT leadership.
  • Manage Document Repositories: Organize IT documentation within approved systems such as SharePoint GCC High and M-Files, ensuring logical structure, accurate metadata, and consistency.
  • Support Standardization Efforts: Develop and maintain standardized IT document templates, headers, footers, and formatting to reduce errors and improve consistency.
  • Participate in Reviews & Audits: Serve as a documentation subject matter resource during document reviews, presentations, and compliance readiness activities.
  • Perform Other Duties: Complete additional tasks as assigned to support IT documentation and compliance objectives.
YOU’RE AWESOME AT:
  • Technical Documentation Excellence: Creating clear, accurate, and well-structured IT technical documentation, including procedures, manuals, and work instructions.
  • Document Control & Compliance: Managing document lifecycle activities such as versioning, approvals, change control, and controlled storage in compliance-driven environments.
  • CUI Awareness & Information Security: Applying document security classifications, including CUI marking, handling requirements, and approved storage practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively partnering with IT, Cybersecurity, and document owners to resolve documentation issues and support compliance readiness.
