We’re looking for an experienced Open Source Advocate to join a Developer Relations team focused on improving how engineers engage with open source software and communities.

This role centers on building tools, documentation, and programs that support open source contribution and adoption, while also representing open source projects within the broader developer ecosystem. You’ll work closely with engineers and partners across cloud-native, API, and developer tooling spaces.

What You’ll Do

  • Create developer-facing documentation and training materials for contributing to and maintaining open source projects
  • Partner with open source communities and foundations to support developer events, content, and initiatives
  • Engage directly with open source communities to understand trends and challenges
  • Develop tools to analyze and report on open source repository trends and statistics
  • Drive editorial planning and support content creation related to open source engagements
  • Collaborate with product management, developer marketing, technical learning, and engineering teams
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in developer advocacy, technical evangelism, or a closely related role
  • Active contributor to at least one influential open source project (code, documentation, bugs, or design)
  • Strong understanding of modern software development technologies and tools
  • Strong presentation skills across talks, workshops, webinars, or live streams
  • General knowledge of AI and modern developer ecosystems
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with open source licenses and contributor license agreements
  • Experience running hands-on developer workshops or labs
  • Publicly shared technical code or content that supports other developers
