Overview
The GBSG Marketing Services team is seeking a strategic, high-impact Staff Marketing Manager to define our Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) Strategy for the Global Business Solutions Group (Quick Books, Mailchimp, and Intuit Enterprise). This senior individual‑contributor role focuses on a commercial vision and collaborates across multiple teams, tying together on‑site SEO, off‑site influence, strategic partnerships, and brand authority within large‑language‑model (LLM) environments such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.
As the architect of our GEO roadmap, you will shift focus from traditional on‑site technical SEO to off‑site signals, building partnerships and ensuring Intuit’s data and value propositions are integrated into the engines driving next‑generation user intent.
Responsibilities- Define and execute a holistic content strategy for GEO that prioritizes brand citations, sentiment, and authoritative placement within AI‑driven discovery engines.
- Identify and negotiate strategic opportunities with AI platforms, data aggregators, and industry publishers to ensure Intuit’s data is prioritized in LLM training sets.
- Own the strategy around "Entity Authority," shaping how our brands are perceived by generative models through off‑site signals and ecosystem dominance.
- Collaborate with engineering, product leads, search teams, and analytics to optimize public‑facing data structures for machine readability and generative ingestion.
- Act as an internal subject‑matter expert, presenting high‑level strategy and POV documents to executive leadership regarding the shifting landscape of organic discovery.
- Develop attribution models that measure the impact of GEO and partnership initiatives on customer acquisition and ROI.
- Conduct deep‑dive analysis of competitor positioning within generative responses and develop counter‑strategies to regain share of voice.
- 6+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a heavy emphasis on strategic partnerships, business development, and high‑level SEO strategy.
- Track record of managing large‑scale marketing programs aimed at revenue growth and market share, not just traffic.
- Understanding of how LLMs find, process, and cite information, and a clear thesis on transitioning from Google‑centric SEO to engine‑agnostic GEO.
- Experience managing high‑value external relationships or vendors to drive brand visibility and authority.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Analytics, Big Query, or specialized AI‑tracking platforms (Profound, Scrunch, or other LLM measurement platforms) for deriving insights from non‑traditional search data.
- Deep understanding of the B2B or SaaS buyer journey is a significant advantage.
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
