About the RoleSony Electronics is seeking a motivated and data‑driven problem‑solver who thrives at the intersection of business and technology. As a Data Engineer/Analyst, you will play a key role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights and scalable solutions that support decision‑making across the organization. This hybrid role blends technical engineering with analytical storytelling, perfect for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow, and make a real business impact.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs, analyze complex datasets to uncover trends and opportunities, and deliver insights that inform strategic decisions. You will also work alongside senior engineers to enhance data pipelines and models, gaining hands‑on experience with the infrastructure that powers analytics across Sony.
- Collaborate with senior data engineers and cross‑functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics infrastructure
- Translate business requirements into reliable data models and prepare clean, well‑organized datasets for self‑service analytics
- Develop dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI to support data‑driven decision‑making and communicate insights effectively
- Contribute to existing codebases (e.g., Python, SQL), applying best practices for maintainable and scalable engineering
- Monitor data quality and availability, troubleshoot issues across environments, and ensure accuracy and consistency in analytics outputs
- Support ongoing improvements to data models, streamline access, and automate reporting workflows to enhance operational efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Foundational experience with data analysis and programming (e.g., Python or similar)
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI
- Exposure to modern data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Big Query, or Redshift
- Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into scalable, technical data solutions
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated problem‑solving ability, curiosity, and eagerness to grow in a collaborative environment
- Hands‑on experience with Databricks or similar cloud‑based data platforms
- Proficiency in scripting languages for data analysis, such as Python, R, or equivalent
