UX Content and Strategist

Base pay range

$45.00/hr - $55.00/hr

Contract length: 12+ months

• Lead the strategic content vision for new digital products and feature iterations.
• Establish and communicate requirements for content creation and governance to ensure content serves the brand and fulfills a defined purpose, vision, KPIs, or other key metrics.
• Shape the user experience by writing clear, concise, cohesive copy that delivers the right information at the right time to help people accomplish their tasks efficiently.
• Create guidelines and messaging architecture to communicate brand identity and apply its personality, mission, voice, and vision to actual words on a page.
• Advise on content activities, documentation, and deliverables, including content models, information architecture, taxonomy, metadata, frameworks, and more.
• Participate in user research, competitive and comparative reviews, and usability testing.
• Facilitate brainstorming, stakeholder workshops, and other collaborative sessions with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Contribute to the sales process by informing proposals and project scopes with recommended content design approaches.
• Identify opportunities to evangelize and educate teams on the content strategy discipline.

• Must be willing to be in the office in Kearny Mesa (San Diego, California) Monday through Friday. Daily hours are flexible.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in content design, strategy, and/or UX product writing.
• Open to learning new subject matter and curious about finding ways to distill complex ideas into simple, elegant content design solutions.
