Position Overview We are looking for a seasoned security executive that can help bring AI Security to the forefront of our CISO advisory practice. This is a dynamic role, this person needs to be able to help Deep Seas navigate the future, the role of AI vCISOs will continue to evolve, demanding a proactive, strategic, and collaborative approach to AI security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing AI Security Strategies:
    Crafting comprehensive security strategies tailored to AI systems, including risk management and integration with broader cybersecurity policies.
  • Identifying and Assessing AI‑Specific Risks:
    Implementing continuous monitoring and regular risk assessments to detect and mitigate threats like data poisoning and adversarial attacks.
  • Implementing Security Measures:
    Ensuring data protection, model security, and lifecycle management through advanced techniques and secure practices.
  • Ensuring Compliance:
    Adhering to relevant laws and regulations, conducting audits, and preparing compliance reports.
  • Leading Technology and Security Teams:
    Managing and guiding teams of AI security professionals, fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Raising Security Awareness:
    Developing training programs and promoting a culture of security awareness within the organization.
  • Incident Response and Recovery:
    Overseeing incident management and recovery plans to minimize disruption and restore normal operations.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field.
  • AI/ML Security Fundamentals:
    Understanding model vulnerabilities (e.g., data poisoning, model inversion, adversarial examples, prompt injection).
  • Threat Modeling for AI Systems:
    Ability to identify and mitigate AI‑specific threats and attack surfaces.
  • Data Lifecycle Management:
    Handling data provenance, labeling integrity, and secure dataset curation.
  • AI Governance & Ethics:
    Awareness of AI accountability, bias mitigation, transparency, and ethical implications.
  • Strategic Planning:
    Designing and implementing long‑term AI security strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Risk Assessment & Governance:
    Ability to conduct AI‑specific risk evaluations and integrate them into enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Change Management:
    Driving adoption of security practices across AI development teams.
  • Ability to perform:
  • Professional and engaging presentation skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving logic.
  • Proficient with Microsoft programs and collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Web Ex, Teams).
  • CompTIA Security +, CEH, CISM, or other security‑related certification.
