Position Classification and

Schedule:

Exempt, full‑time. Eligible for a hybrid schedule after a two‑month training period.
San Diego, CA candidates only.

Compensation: $68,000 - $85,000, depending on relevant professional experience.

Target start date: January 2026

Position Summary

The DoD System Support Specialist offers end users daily support within our autonomous and collaborative setting. They will troubleshoot technical problems remotely and assist in resolving them. Given the high level of customer interaction, essential qualities include patience, effective communication, and strong problem‑solving skills. This position involves continuous system support and direct client interaction.

The ideal candidate has an active security clearance, is located in San Diego, CA, possesses one or more years of professional experience, and is willing to work at the office (zip code 92130) and the lab as required (at least twice a week). Candidates should be enthusiastic about learning and acquiring industry experience from the basics, as the field is highly specialized.

Duties
  • Performs system testing and integrates site enhancements, features, and bug fixes.
  • Assists customers with account administration issues and provides user support by troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Performs technical writing, project and task management, release management, and sustainment.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and executes account requests for the System, including verifying credentials for using the System.
  • Provides day‑to‑day customer support for end users. Offers customer service to resolve technical issues and document feedback.
  • Assists customers in resolving and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active security clearance at the time of hire.
  • Must be willing and able to work at the classified lab and attend meetings as required.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior professional experience as a Computer User Support Specialist or similar technical support role.
  • High‑school diploma with at least one year of relevant professional experience or a technical bachelor’s degree.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work.
  • Employees generally work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week during the core hours, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. PST.
