Client Solution Architects (CSA) is currently seeking a Systems Administrator to support a program at San Diego, CA.
For nearly 50 years, CSA has delivered integrated technology and operational support services to meet the defense and federal sector's most complex enterprise needs. Working from operations centers and shipyards to training sites and program offices, CSA deploys experienced teams, innovative tools and proven processes to advance federal missions.
This position is contingent on contract award.
How Role will make an impact (Duties and Responsibilities):Network Infrastructure:
- Computer networking concepts, protocols, and security methodologies
- Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) architecture and pathways
- Bandwidth management principles and techniques
- Network traffic flow (TCP/IP and OSI model)
- Performance tuning tools and techniques
- Remote access technologies
- Virtual Private Network (VPN) security
- Network protocols (TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), directory services)
- Common network tools (e.g., ping, trace route, nslookup)
- File system implementations (e.g., New Technology File System (NTFS), File Allocation Table (FAT), Extended File System (EXT))
- Virtualization technologies and virtual machine management
Security Expertise:
- IT security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones (DMZs), encryption)
- Network security architecture concepts (topology, protocols, defense‑in‑depth)
- Cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities
- National and international cybersecurity laws, regulations, and policies
- Organizational IT user security policies (e.g., account management, access control)
- Data security standards (PII, PCI, PHI)
- System administration, network, and operating system hardening techniques
- Software‑based computer protection tools (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, antispyware)
- Knowledge of transmission records (Bluetooth, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Infrared (IR) transmission, Wi‑Fi, etc.) and jamming techniques
System Administration:
- Server and client operating systems
- Systems administration concepts and best practices
- System/server diagnostic tools and fault identification
- Operating system command line/prompt (e.g., ipconfig, netstat, dir, nbtstat)
- System maintenance procedures (cleaning, disk checks, reboots, backups, etc.)
- (4) Cloud Computing:
- Cloud computing service models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)
- Cloud security strategy and architecture
- Clearance:
Must possess and maintain an active Secret Clearance - Four (4) years of experience in systems management experience
- IAT II Certification
