Our Engineering Team is seeking a Senior
UX/UI Designer, Applications. You will be designing, developing, and validating intuitive graphical user experience of networking applications that control, manage, and interact with Trellis Ware's wireless communication products, using today's modern software frameworks and technologies. You will have the opportunity to work closely with internal and external customers of Trellis Ware's Software Defined Radio products to understand use cases and to work with the radio system SW team to develop efficient models for controlling and visualizing radio network parameters and diagnostic data.
Experience developing management platforms for multimode systems is highly desired for this position. - Designing web, PC, or mobile application user interfaces.
- Enhancing and maintaining a suite of wireless networking configuration and situational awareness tools.
- Design using intuitive visualization techniques for minimal user cognitive load.
- Gathering and evaluating user requirements in collaboration with Product Management and Software Development.
- Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, wireframes, process flows, and mockups.
- Preparing and presenting initial design drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
- Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems, incorporating end‑user feedback.
- Developing relationships with team members built on trust and respect.
Education and work experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in Design or Computer Science.
- Minimum of ten years industry experience designing user interface applications.
- Experience designing contemporary user interface solutions, represented in a portfolio of design projects.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Experienced using strong visual design fundamentals, including wire framing and prototyping.
- Proficient in developing information architectures including the use of Material Design.
- Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
- Proficient with prototyping design tools such as Figma.
- Experience in design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Ability to organize, synthesize, and analyze UX research findings.
- Experienced in responsive design for multiple screen sizes, resolutions, and viewpoints.
- Strong artistic and creative ability.
- Proficient with front‑end technologies such as HTML and CSS a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in UX writing.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong collaborative drive and interpersonal skills.
- Strong initiative, proactive work ethic and prioritization skills.
