Payroll Manager

Overview

LHH has partnered with a reputable hospitality company in search for a Payroll Manager. This is a great management opportunity if you are confident being responsible for directing all payroll operations for an organization. The position reports to accounting yet works closely with HR and departmental leaders.

• Supervise, support, and mentor one Payroll Specialist.
• Oversee the full payroll cycle from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate processing for 400+ employees.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll requirements, tax rules, and internal control procedures.
• Administer payroll changes, special payments, and reimbursements.
• Review and process gratuities and supplemental compensation.
• Generate payroll summaries, analytical reports, and reconciliation data for leadership.

• Bachelors degree in accounting, business administration, or related field is a plus.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in payroll processing.
• Proficiency using Workday (preferred but not required).
• Strong communication skills;
  Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Prior leadership experience overseeing payroll staff.
• Strong understanding of employment laws at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, HRIS platforms, payroll systems, and report creation.
• Excellent organization, accuracy, and commitment to confidentiality.
