HR Generalist (Prevailing wage laws exp req) Description

Our client, a trusted leader in commercial HVAC services, is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team in Escondido, CA. This fully in-office role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the company’s HR functions while supporting general office operations. You’ll support and improve day-to-day office & HR functions across recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and compliance. You’ll play a key role in fostering a strong company culture.

The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented HR professional with a firm grasp of employment laws and prevailing wage requirements. • Manage weekly payroll and ensure accurate data submission

• Administer employee benefits and implement benefit changes

• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training coordination

• Handle employee relations and promote a positive culture

• Maintain compliance with HR regulations and policies

• Track PTO and sick leave, and approve employee time off

• Manage HR records and prepare reports for leadership

• Coordinate team-building events and internal communication

• Oversee office supplies inventory and general administrative tasks

• Support office phone and electronics setup and tracking

• Assist in office operations and interdepartmental support

HR Generalist (Payroll exp req) Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience required

• Strong familiarity with employment laws required

• Experience with HRIS and payroll software required

• Seniority level Associate
