About The Position
The HR Business Partner plays a pivotal role in our company's growth by providing administrative support to the HR department. In this exciting role, you'll get the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, learn new skills, and make a significant impact on our success. Accountability

  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Monitor monthly compliance reports, create action plans for the area of responsibility and prioritize location visits based on overall compliance opportunities.
  • Actively provide day-to-day tactical HR leadership and counsel to management in the area of employment law and labor relations under the direction of the Regional HR Manager and EVP.
  • Proactively work with team members and management to resolve work-related conflicts.

Communication

  • Manage internal customer expectations by communicating project status updates and issues, resolving concerns, analyzing time and cost issues, and preparing reports.

Family

  • Assist fellow team members during busy periods or when needed, promoting a sense of unity and cooperation within the department.
  • Participate in grievance meetings and contract interpretations.

Exceptional Service

  • Recommend fresh approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in the departmental efficiency and services performed.
  • Conduct investigations, manage benefits eligibility, leave provisions and workers compensation processes, ensuring timely review and submission.
  • Execute strategy for Corporate HR initiatives and tailor delivery to division offices, managing the efficient rollouts.

Profitability

  • Provide labor relations support in unionized locations. In union-free locations, make sure that proactive employee relations programs are in place to maintain union-free status.

About YOU

  • 3+ years in an exempt-level HR generalist role supporting a region or division of 300+ employees.
  • Mastery of Federal and State employment law for the region/state of oversight.
  • In-depth knowledge of California employment laws and regulations, with 2+ years of experience applying these laws in a professional HR setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience managing employee relation issues from investigation to resolution.
  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal, able to effectively address all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize work within a multi-tasking environment and understand and meet deadlines and due dates.
  • Good strategic planning and operational sensibilities.
