Payroll Analyst
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days WFH)

As a Payroll Analyst you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that employees are paid correctly and on-time, and that payroll processes support the ongoing success of the organization.
What You’ll Do:- Process on-cycle and off-cycle payrolls accurately and timely
- Handle voids, corrections, terminations, and replacement checks
- Manage payroll bank files and settlement processes
- Review timecard exceptions, input data, and resolve discrepancies
- Analyze audit and exception reports to maintain payroll integrity
- Transmit direct deposit files and distribute pay advices or checks
- Deposit payroll taxes timely and accurately across assigned payrolls
- Prepare payroll-related reports (e.g., union reporting, Occupational Privilege Tax)
- Communicate effectively with union reps, location managers, and leadership regarding payroll matters
- Partner with HR and Benefits teams to address and resolve payroll-related concerns
- Keep abreast of payroll laws, rates, and regulations and implement changes as necessary
- Contribute to process improvements and support the payroll department’s goals
- Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years in-house payroll experience (on-cycle, off-cycle, settlements)
- Experience with payroll systems such as Workday and/or ADP preferred
- Strong proficiency with spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel
- Experience managing union payroll components (dispatch slips, pay rates, dues) is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional demeanor
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable team player
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
