Payroll Analyst

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days WFH)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

As a Payroll Analyst you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that employees are paid correctly and on-time, and that payroll processes support the ongoing success of the organization.

What You’ll Do:
  • Process on-cycle and off-cycle payrolls accurately and timely
  • Handle voids, corrections, terminations, and replacement checks
  • Manage payroll bank files and settlement processes
  • Review timecard exceptions, input data, and resolve discrepancies
  • Analyze audit and exception reports to maintain payroll integrity
  • Transmit direct deposit files and distribute pay advices or checks
  • Deposit payroll taxes timely and accurately across assigned payrolls
  • Prepare payroll-related reports (e.g., union reporting, Occupational Privilege Tax)
  • Communicate effectively with union reps, location managers, and leadership regarding payroll matters
  • Partner with HR and Benefits teams to address and resolve payroll-related concerns
  • Keep abreast of payroll laws, rates, and regulations and implement changes as necessary
  • Contribute to process improvements and support the payroll department’s goals
What You Bring:
  • Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years in-house payroll experience (on-cycle, off-cycle, settlements)
  • Experience with payroll systems such as Workday and/or ADP preferred
  • Strong proficiency with spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel
  • Experience managing union payroll components (dispatch slips, pay rates, dues) is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional demeanor
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable team player
