Room Attendant
, you'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of guest rooms, ensuring guest satisfaction while upholding our high-quality standards.
No matter your position, there are essential factors for success: ensuring a safe work environment, following company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, upholding quality standards, and presenting yourself professionally in appearance, uniform, and communication.
Room Attendant will be on their feet for extended periods, actively engaging in tasks that involve standing, sitting or walking, and will take a hands-on approach (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing 50 pounds or less without assistance) Excelling in these tasks (and other reasonable duties as assigned) is crucial for Room Attendant to consistently deliver exceptional results for our guests and our business.
This position will require flexible availability.
RequirementsJob Requirements
- Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guests check out
- Recognize and report safety hazards (broken doors or railings, fire hazards, etc.) and notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and/or disturbances.
- Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs
- Follow all safety and hygiene protocols during the cleaning process
- Perform other duties assigned by Director of Rooms, Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service
The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week. Training
