OverviewThe Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling, coordinating, and servicing events for both in‑house groups and external clients. This role focuses on event sales, banquet food and beverage sales, and event planning while ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the entire event lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Sell banquet and catering services, menu planning, and agenda development.
- Coordinate hotel meeting and event services and manage event contracts.
- Communicate clearly with all hotel departments before, during, and after events to ensure seamless execution and high service standards.
- Conduct site inspections and maintain strong client relationships.
- Collaborate closely with sales, catering, and event operations teams to drive revenue and client satisfaction.
- Lead event planning efforts for both in‑house and external clients.
- Bachelor’s degree and / or 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
- 1 year food and beverage experience.
- Strong understanding of negotiation and contract interpretation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proactive, assertive sales approach; driven to succeed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with hospitality sales CRM systems (Delphi, Daylight, Marriott CI/TY, Starwood ISAC).
- Ability to design menus with the culinary department to maximize operating profit.
- Creativity in designing events.
- Working knowledge of banquet department functions (sets, AV equipment, scheduling, menu planning).
- Strong time‑management and multi‑project handling skills.
- Professional appearance and confidence.
- Ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively with the public and team members.
