Job DetailsRate of pay: $17.75/hour USD
Responsibilities- Assist all guests on the front drive; help with retrieving vehicles, luggage, and other requests as needed.
- Deliver guests to their room, luggage, messages and any other items for delivery within the hotel.
- Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Ensure the timely and efficient transfer of luggage to and from the guest s room.
- Ensure the guest is familiar with their room upon arrival (e.g., temperature control).
- Maintain a presence in the lobby when not delivering luggage to guest rooms; offer assistance to guests.
- Assist with luggage for arriving and departing guests as needed.
- Assist guests arriving by vehicle on the front drive or departing from the main building.
- Keep all areas of responsibility neat and clean for guests and colleagues.
- Have a basic knowledge of resort activities to ensure timely response to guest needs, as outlined in daily pre-shift briefing.
- Previous customer-related experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and professional presentation.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
- Ability to focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- High school graduate or equivalent is preferred; previous experience is a plus.
- Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing.
- Reading and counting are essential.
- Must have a valid California license and clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of the San Diego area including directions to areas of interest, restaurants and local attractions.
- Aptitude to acquire minimum skill levels for safe operations and task execution to ensure a safe environment for self and coworkers.
