The Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines is looking for a Banquet Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, hospitality, and operational skills.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily banquet functions, including breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, galas, etc.
- Oversee event set‑up, placement of linens, silverware, glassware, chinaware, and conduct full inspections.
- Develop and evaluate team member performance, provide supervision, scheduling, counselling, and recognition.
- Recruit, interview, and train banquet staff.
- Communicate function specifications and changes with F&B, Event Services, Property Operations, Audio‑Visual, and Housekeeping.
- Supervise breakdown of event rooms and ensure proper storage of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in banquet as a supervisor or captain.
- 3+ years experience in hospitality, with hotel experience highly preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year management experience.
- Previous experience in a high‑volume hotel banquet department, with at least 20,000 sq ft meeting space.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
