Description of Job Duties
The Houseperson will be responsible for assisting Room Attendants, keeping linen closets stocked, responding to guest requests, maintaining the cleanliness of guest corridors, and assisting with laundry.
Core Functions- Adhere to Hyatt Hotels Corporation guidelines and core values to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our colleagues and guests.
- Strip guest rooms that are designated as a departure.
- Stock all guest rooms that are designated as a departure with new linen, terry, and water.
- Maintain the cleanliness of guest corridors.
- Maintain and organize the Housekeeping back‑of‑house closets.
- Stock linen in closets.
- Stock all guest room amenities in closets.
- Empty out trash from back‑of‑house closets.
- Deliver guest request items within the Forbes service standards and guidelines.
- Collect all dirty linen from the guest floors, sort specialty items to be washed in house, and bring them to the Housekeeping area. All terry and linen is to be placed in a camper that will be moved to the back‑of‑house hallway to be sent out.
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel, and communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
- Other duties as assigned.

- 1‑2 years previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, and/or janitorial services (preferred).
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service‑oriented manner.
Frequent:
Standing and walking during entire shift; kneeling, squatting, and bending constantly; pushing up to 50 lbs; pulling, lifting, carrying, or otherwise moving up to 20 lbs; frequent use of hand, wrist, and other manual dexterity throughout shift; exposure to EAP approved cleaning chemicals, dust, and smells.
Occasional:
Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens; interacting with guests (speaking, listening, writing).

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00. This is the pay range for this position that Alila Marea reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
