This is a full time, benefited position (64 hours per two week pay period). The schedule is varied (8 hour shifts), but primarily PM shifts (3pm-11:30pm) with occasional coverage for the 6am or 11am shifts. Includes rotating weekends and holidays. Located at the Scripps Health core lab in Sorrento Valley.

Our Scripps Medical Laboratory is our system's core lab, servicing all sites and processing over 2.6 million tests annually. With a culture centered around teamwork, each laboratory site serves as a resource of support for each other, setting our laboratories as the benchmark for standardization. The Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) will work in the microbiology department and may have the opportunity to cross train in molecular testing.
Responsibilities- Work in the microbiology department; potential cross-training in molecular testing.
- Bachelor’s Degree or degree acceptable for California Laboratory Licensure
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- CDPH Licensure: MTA (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) Licensed to perform work in all areas of the Clinical Lab or MTE (Clinical Microbiologist) limited license
- One year equivalent full time in a clinical laboratory.

Position Pay Range: $54.24-$78.66/hour
