This is a full-time position (80 hours per pay period) with 10-hour varied day shifts, occasional weekends and holidays, and on-call is optional. This position is located at Scripps Anderson Medical Pavilion.

Scripps Clinic’s John R. Anderson V Medical Pavilion, located on the Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla campus, provides a comprehensive, “one-stop” healthcare experience for the greater San Diego region. The pavilion offers primary and specialty care, including cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, and more—along with imaging, labs, on-site vascular testing, cardiac diagnostics and procedures, and outpatient vascular surgery and vein treatments.

Hiring Incentives Eligibility

  • New Graduates (must have at least 1 year of experience)

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

  • Must remain in originally hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title
  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
Required Qualifications
  • One of the following:
    1) Associate of Science Degree Certification in Ultrasound in a school that is accredited.
    2) Successful completion of a formal educational program in an AMA approved school of ultrasound with a minimum of 500 hours of clinical in the specialty required.
    3) Registered in the specialty that you are applied for by ARDMS or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with at least 1 year of full-time experience required
  • ARDMS or CCI
  • RDCS or RCS
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • ACS (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer)
  • Experience with stress echo
  • Experience with strain
  • Experience with 3D
  • Experience with writing preliminary reports
  • Experience with ultrasound enhancing agents
  • Experience with structural heart interventional procedures
  • Experience assisting with TEEs
  • Experience imaging inpatients

Position Pay Range: $59.81-$86.71/hour
