DESCRIPTIONThe Neurological Surgery Clinical Operations Supervisor is responsible as the liaison for administrative services and operations for the Department of Neurological Surgery including the supervision of a high performing, large clinical coordinator team, complex surgical authorization processes, call center escalations, process improvement initiatives, OR utilization and block time management of our faculty surgeons. Management levels may include oversight of clinical patient care.
Supervises operations, typically spanning multiple providers, clinics, operating rooms and hospitals. Subordinates include staff involved with professional operational functions. Oversight of administrative areas such as revenue cycle management, billing systems and procedures, facilities and safety procedures, registration, referral management, new patient coordination, scheduling, medical records storage and maintenance, insurance authorizations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's Degree in related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
- Minimum of three (3) years recent experience supervising support staff.
- Neurosurgery or perioperative service experience or equivalent service line experience.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance authorization and verification process.
- Proven scheduling experience.
- Exceptional patient experience and service recovery skills.
- Service recovery experience.
- Experience working with a multidisciplinary team including administrators, APPs, surgeons and nurses.
- Advanced EPIC experience (Cadence/Optime/Snapboard).
- Ability to multitask in a busy surgical practice environment and ensure deadlines are met effectively.
- Lean Six Sigma skills.
- Experience working with memory impaired populations and their caregivers
- Bilingual Eng./Spa.
- Prior Medical Assisting/LVN Experience
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $71,600 - $127,400 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $34.29 - $61.02
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
