Companion Caregiver

Overview

Home Well Care Services is hiring caregivers in the North County San Diego area. If you are a reliable and compassionate person and want to grow your career in the home health care field by providing non-medical care in the client's home, we want to hear from you! Our caregivers make a positive impact in the lives of seniors by ensuring their safety and promoting their independence.

We offer full and part-time, flexible schedules along with a supportive company environment.

• Providing companionship and conversation
• Assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing and bathroom assistance
• Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and linen changing
• Laying out clothes and assisting with dressing
• Planning and preparing meals
• Providing medication reminders
• Providing transportation to and from appointments
• Helping family members learn how to provide a safe environment for their loved one

• Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
• Ability to follow the client’s provided plan of care
• Strict adherence to all state regulations and standards as a home care aid (HCA)
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation
• Pass a criminal history check
• Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies
• Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
• Registration with California Home Care Services Bureau as an HCA will be required
• Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus!

Competitive Pay: $21-25/hr
Flexible Schedules, both full and part-time hours available
