This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Greenwich Drive in San Diego and remote.
Responsibilities- Under supervision of the Center Principal Investigators and Center Coordinator, assist with tasks supporting the Implementatio
N Science and Team Effectiveness in Practice (IN STEP) Children’s Mental Health Research Center and linked projects. - Support the infrastructure for community engagement and trial activities of the Center.
- Support all IRB management through the University of California’s IRB Reliance agreement and online system.
- Support implementation of the detailed protocol for risk assessment used for Data Safety and Monitoring.
- Coordinate with investigatory teams to facilitate recruitment of community organizations and co-lead community engagement activities.
- Maintain the Center website and develop content for social media platforms (twitter, You Tube, etc.).
- Provide administrative and technical support for Center webinar series.
- Work with coordinators, investigative teams, and data managers to support evaluation of individual Center projects and overall impact, including preparation and management of web-based surveys and data entry of analytics (altmetric scores, website, social media).
- Perform general project tasks such as preparing meeting minutes, attending research and community partner meetings, literature searches, data entry, web-based survey development and distribution, and manuscript preparation.
- Six years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus two years of related experience/training.
- Working knowledge of safety, legal, cultural and regulatory requirements relative to field research responsibility.
- Working knowledge of research discipline, principles, concepts, analysis and/or operations at field/remote sites.
- Working knowledge of local customs and operations at field/remote sites.
- Ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships with remote research partners.
- Ability to work with a team and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in ambiguous conditions.
- Proficient research and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with project team members.
- Previous experience in a research setting involving human subjects, particularly individuals with mental health conditions, caregivers, or health care providers.
- Comfortable working in a community setting and interacting with community partners, providers, children, and caregivers.
- Experience processing research data for mental health implementation research, adhering to IRB and HIPAA security and storage methods; ability to score and double-score standardized assessments.
- Understanding of computer software such as word processing and data entry; experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and video uploading; experience with video-conferencing platforms.
- Proven interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain participant confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritize workload and work independently.
