About the position- Serve as the Lead Sonographer, ensuring diagnostic ultrasound examinations are completed according to established protocols.
- Act as a subject expert in maternal fetal ultrasound and assist other sonographers as needed.
- Manage daily operations and workflow of the department, including scheduling, overbooking, and staff coordination.
- Contribute to work organization, quality improvement projects, and staff scheduling.
- Train staff and monitor adherence to imaging protocols.
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Assist with staff meetings, hiring, evaluations, and other projects.
- Participate in clinical training and supervise ultrasound student rotations.
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in OB/GYN.
- RDMS or RDCS in Fetal Echocardiography.
- BART or BLS certification at hire, with commitment to obtain BART within 6 months.
- At least 5 years of recent experience in maternal fetal medicine ultrasound.
- Thorough knowledge of ultrasound principles, maternal-fetal assessment, and fetal anatomy.
- Experience performing 12-14 week detailed anatomy scans per AIUM guidelines.
- Commitment to ongoing education in MFM ultrasound, with at least 20 CMEs every 36 months.
- Effective communication skills and intermediate computer skills.
- Knowledge of quality assurance, sterile techniques, and infection control.
- Previous lead sonographer experience in maternal-fetal medicine.
- Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR) Certification or equivalent.
- Ability to work various hours and locations as needed.
- Background check and pre-employment physical required.
Salary Range: $155,326 - $171,446 annually, prorated if less than full-time.
