DESCRIPTION

Under supervisor of the Practice Manager, the Practice Support Coordinator primarily oversees and provides leadership and training for all front and back-end duties such as rooming patients, Epic workqueue coaching, and other advanced administrative duties, etc. The Practice Support Coordinator has oversight over his/her junior counterparts. The Practice Support Coordinator serves as a resource for the entire department with the guidance of the Practice Manager, the Practice Support Coordinator initiates and participates in improvement efforts, which directly impact the practice.

Creates and maintains staff scheduling, master template building and maintenance, participates in timecard preparation and creates and maintains monthly and ad hoc reports. Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Four (4) years of previous related experience; skills, and extensive knowledge of practices.
  • One (1) year of administrative lead and front office experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Understands the functions of the GI IBD center.
  • Ability to articulate physician’s areas of expertise.
  • Understands the external infusion authorization process.
  • Understands the TAR process.
  • Understands the authorization process for genetic testing.
  • Experience in referrals and following specific scheduling protocols. Ability to register/schedule appointments by working between two systems.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer programs to include Excel, PowerPoint, Graphs, Word, MS Teams.
  • Possess the skills and extensive knowledge of practices in a clinic setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical insurance, authorization, and referral processes as well as institutional contract matrix and institutional processes.
  • High-level customer service and teamwork.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s and/or MBA.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience in ambulatory practice call center environment.
  • Epic experience.
  • Template Management Experience.
  • Specialty Clinic Experience.
  • Green Belt Lean Training.
  • Bilingual:
    English/Spanish.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Able to flex work hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays if required for business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $66,169 - $82,309 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $31.69 - $39.42

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
