Salary: $62,000 - $63,000 per year
To support the DoD LCRP grant funded project, designed to evaluate the feasibility of a combination of grape seed and milk thistle extracts for lung cancer chemoprevention in heavy active and former smokers.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will assist Dr. Mao with all aspects of the clinical trial, including preparation of forms and documents, obtaining regulatory approvals in accordance with the applicable institution policies. This includes data management, sample procurement, processing, and archiving. maintain tissue cultures and biorepositories; perform a variety of bioactivity assays, cellular, molecular and functional assays, including but not limited to qPCR, RNA seq, ELISA, western blots, flow cytometry, IHC, HPLC, con-culture experiments, coordinate and take minutes of meetings and conference calls, help prepare reports, presentations, literature reviews, assemble, collate, screen, enter and validate data, maintain regulatory binders for the study, various logistical concerns, and support data analysis and interpretation.
He will also assist on projects involving the use of various preclinical mouse models.
Doctoral degree (PhD or MD) in a related field from an accredited college or university AND at least 4 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
