- Room patients, check vitals, assist with procedures.
- Prepare clinic assisting with provider‑specific protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- Organize and perform patient care services supporting the physician’s practice.
- Relay instructions from the physician to patients or authorized persons.
- Collect patient data in person and by phone.
- Document patient concerns, messages, and care in the electronic medical record for physician review.
- Administer medications directed by the physician.
- Schedule appointments and procedures.
- Complete accurate message taking.
- Route messages to the appropriate area for direction.
- Order and referral entry, acquire pre‑certifications.
- Set up cases in EPIC, basic registration, and update demographics.
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, a Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman.
- BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of experience as an MA in an outpatient setting.
- Previous experience in podiatry.
Position Pay Range: $25.95–$32.56 per hour.
