UHP is currently affiliated with 154 providers consisting of 110 physicians and 44 advanced practice providers operating out of 50 locations across Southern, Central, and Northern California.
Summary
The Medical Assistant supports patient care delivery by working cooperatively with all team members in planning, performing, assisting with procedures, appointments, patient relations, follow up care, and other tasks as requested by a physician.
What You Will Be Doing- Provide direct patient care, assist with procedures, and administer injections.
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain equipment.
- Perform chart prep, upload medical records, and manage authorizations.
- Support scheduling, prescription refills, and front office tasks.
- Monitor and restock supplies to maintain clinical readiness.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the medical field.
- Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion is a plus.
- Phlebotomy Certificate is a plus.
- Healthcare experience preferred including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system experience.
- Bilingual - Spanish and comfortable translating.
- Knowledge and experience in specialty they are applying to is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA laws.
