Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses, including those in intensive care units and emergency settings.

• One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
• Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

• ACLS or PALS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Other certifications and licenses relevant to the role (if required)

A Registered Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. RRTs independently assess, treat, and manage patients across a wide range of respiratory conditions, collaborating closely with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver life‑saving therapies and patient‑centered care.

• Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans
• Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples
• Treat patients using chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, and other methods
• Set up and monitor equipment to ensure patients receive the correct oxygen levels
• Observe and record patient status and progress
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care
• Educate patients and/or family members on medication and equipment use
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and proficient PC skills
• Physical ability to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
• Professionalism and ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel
• Fine motor skills for procedure assistance and equipment use
• Ability to handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines, and manage irregular activity schedules
• Good visual acuity and effective communication skills
