Life Works in San Diego, CA is hiring a full-time In-Home Caregiver - DSP to help an individual with autism transition into an independent living community and flourish in his new home. You'll handle crucial caregiving, direct support, and companionship functions, making a significant difference every single day. • Experience working with individuals with autism
• Knowledge about de-escalation tactics
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Active lifestyle - preferred, not required

No two days are the same, and that's what makes this caregiving position exciting! You'll help the client with general care tasks, support him throughout his daily routine, and serve as a friendly guide and caring advocate. Here's a taste of what you'll be up to:

• Working in the client's home to help him throughout the day and support him in building confidence and gaining life skills
• Encouraging him to get outside and exercise
• Helping him identify job opportunities and form new connections in the community
• Assisting with aspects like setting boundaries, understanding social cues, and more
• Providing warm companionship and maintaining a safe, organized environment

This caregiving role works full-time from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
