Base pay range$41.79/hr - $51.96/hr
ResponsibilitiesUnder supervision incumbents perform the range of electroencephalographic studies as they relate to electroencephalography, electromyography, or evoked potential studies. Responsibilities include taking medical histories related to neurological diagnosis, preparing and positioning patients for EDX studies, applying suitable electrodes to predetermined positions, calibrating and adjusting apparatus, replacing faulty plug‑in components, selecting predetermined electrode combinations, interpreting graphic output, observing patients during tests and indicating artifacts, and communicating with the technical director regarding daily operations.
Incumbent assists with program development as needed and performs other related tasks as required.
- Graduate of an accredited neurophysiology technologist program or equivalent training experience.
- One year of clinical EEG experience at a hospital with outpatient and inpatient services.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within 6 months.
- Must be board certified in appropriate function within two years of hire date.
- Two years of clinical EEG experience with outpatient and inpatient services.
