Medical Lab Technician; MLT - Per Diem

Position Details:

• Pay Range: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
• Work Schedule:
  
  Casual/per diem; hours as needed, varying start and end times, 3rd shift (overnight)

Responsibilities include:

• Assess specimen acceptability for testing
• Perform technical procedures according to SOPs
• Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving
• Prepare and evaluate reagents and controls
• Report accurate and timely results
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality control
• Replenish supplies and assist with specimen processing
• Maintain a safe work environment with PPE

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory requirements
• Previous clinical testing experience preferred
• CA MLT license required
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Attention to detail, good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to pass a color vision test
• Flexibility for overtime or shift changes
