** Objective In this role you will support the efficient operation of the practice by accurately scheduling and coordinating complex infusion center appointments. The position ensures a safe and seamless patient experience through active collaboration with patients, providers, nursing teams, and leadership. Responsibilities also include verifying insurance and authorization clearances, managing work queues, and inbox communication.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions
* Scheduling and coordinating complex infusion center appointments including physician visits, lab, infusion and injection appointments for patients.
* Close collaboration with patients, providers, nursing teams, and leaders
* Ensure accurate and safe treatments and to facilitate a seamless patient journey
* Verifying insurance and authorization department clearances
* Updating patient demographics
* Reviewing and updating work queues and inbox messages

Experience, Qualifications, Education
• Experience working in Oncology, infusion center, dialysis, surgery setting.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience working in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of Oncology, Infusion, dialysis, and/or procedure scheduling.
• Experience with authorization.
• Experience with scheduling with an electronic health record system.
• Bilingual:
English and Spanish. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette.
• Strong computer skills and ability to managing multiple systems during phone calls.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management skills and abilities.
• Ability to build strong relationships with physicians, clinical and non-clinical team members, and leadership team.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Pay Range:$24-$30 an hour
Working Conditions:
This position functions indoors in a medical/business environment. Employee will be exposed to moderate noise levels and interruptions. Visual acuity to read and compute screen and paper documents; close and distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception, ability to adjust focus; hearing acuity to converse with staff and customers. Ability to sit for hours at a time. Employee will be exposed to moderate noise levels and interruptions.
Travel: Travel between local offices when necessary. Requires active California driver’s license and proof of insurance for vehicle used.locations:
