Overview
Metronome is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to support a U.S. Navy Program Office within the Information Operations mission area. This role focuses on helping government leadership execute acquisition planning and program execution activities by managing schedules, risks, documentation, and program reporting.
Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day acquisition and program management support to the Navy client program office
- Track and manage routine program tasks (data calls, action items, meeting coordination)
- Build and maintain program documentation and leadership briefings (Excel/PowerPoint)
- Support development and management of spend plans and program financial tracking
- Monitor cost, schedule, and performance across multiple development efforts
- Coordinate with technical and functional teams to support program planning and reporting
- Identify program risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
- Facilitate client meetings and briefings as needed
- DoD Acquisition / ACAT
- Experience Executing Acquisition Requirements In Compliance With DoD 5000 series
- Defense Acquisition Guide (DAG)
- DoD planning and scheduling guidance
- Working knowledge of acquisition processes across the lifecycle supporting ACAT I programs (required)
- Scheduling & Planning
- Experience Developing And Managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
- Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
- Ability to incorporate real program progress into schedule updates
- Risk Management
- Ability to identify risk drivers, dependencies, and root causes
- Experience building and tracking mitigation plans throughout the program lifecycle
- Experience Preparing Acquisition Documentation Such As ICD, CDD, CPD
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- 8+ years supporting DoD acquisition organizations (ACAT I–IV / AAPs)
- 3+ years supporting Navy systems acquisition
- DAWIA Level III (Program Management) OR PMP (or equivalent)
