Legal Assistant - Transactional Real Estate

Hybrid (2 Days/Week In Office) Internal Audit Role at a $40B Global Company - Stepping Stone Track to Controller's Group!

Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 per year

Our client, a Global player in the energy industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Auditor. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals and contribute to the growth and sustainability of our organization — the client views this role as a stepping stone to the Global Controller's group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing, with a specific focus on risk assessment, internal controls, operational audits, and financial audits.

• Conducting regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of operations.
• Identifying potential areas of operational risk and making recommendations for improvement.
• Preparing detailed reports on audit findings and making recommendations to senior management.
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations as well as industry standards.
• Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Conducting follow‑up audits to monitor management’s interventions.
• Engaging in continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, preferably in the energy industry.
• Experience with Big 4 is highly desirable.
• Exceptional knowledge of risk assessment, internal controls, operational audit, and financial audit.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results‑orientation.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
