COMPENSATION
$95,000 - $110,000 annually
POSITION SUMMARYThe Loan Processing Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the loan processing team while actively processing loans for designated Relationship Manager portfolios. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in loan documentation and processing, serves as a subject matter expert for complex loan scenarios, and drives departmental improvements. The Loan Processing Lead will mentor and support processors, handle escalated issues, and assist management with performance evaluations and departmental goals.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process and manage loans for assigned Relationship Manager portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Review loan documentation for loans ensuring accuracy and accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handle complex loan files and resolve escalated issues promptly.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant before closing.
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend solutions to enhance productivity and customer experience.
- Collaborate with management to implement best practices and technology enhancements.
- Stay current on regulatory changes affecting loan processing.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
- Directly supervises employees within the loan processing department.
- Serve as the primary resource for loan processors, providing guidance and answering technical questions.
- Assist in creating procedures, training new team members, and cross‑training existing staff.
- Conduct periodic employee reviews and provide feedback on performance
- Minimum 3–5 years of loan processing experience in a banking environment.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of loan documentation, compliance, and banking regulations.
- Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in loan origination systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
