High Yield Research Analyst/Associate

A leading investment firm is seeking a High Yield Research Analyst/Associate to join its credit research team. This role will focus on fundamental analysis of high yield corporate issuers and support investment decision-making across portfolios.

• Conduct fundamental credit research on high yield issuers across multiple sectors, including detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis.
• Analyze company financial statements, capital structures, liquidity profiles, and covenant packages.
• Develop investment theses and make relative value recommendations to portfolio managers.
• Monitor existing holdings and industry trends, providing ongoing updates and risk assessments.
• Participate in issuer meetings, earnings calls, and due diligence sessions.
• Collaborate closely with portfolio managers, traders, and risk teams.
• Prepare written research reports and present findings to the investment committee.
• Track macroeconomic, sector, and regulatory developments impacting credit markets.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2–6+ years of experience in high yield credit research, leveraged finance, or related buy-side or sell-side roles.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with experience analyzing leveraged capital structures.
• Deep understanding of high yield bond markets, leveraged loans, and credit instruments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• CFA designation or progress toward CFA preferred.
