Housing, Dining and Hospitality (HDH), Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS), the UC San Diego Bookstore, Triton Print & Digital Media, and the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC). Under general supervision, serves as Financial Analyst for assigned departments. Uses professional knowledge to advise management and facilitate the resolution of moderate to complex budgetary and related financial and administrative issues. Applies organizational knowledge of policies and procedures to ensure the proper implementation of short and/or long-term solutions to operating issues. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Contacts are primarily internal to the department but may also be external. Supports departments housed in the Retail, Residential, Supply Chain, Services (RRSS) portfolio. They include:

• The UC San Diego Bookstore is a self-supporting auxiliary organization with annual revenue of $25,000,000. The bookstore supports the campus community with academic materials, spirit wear, and technology products. The UC San Diego Bookstore employs approximately 20 career staff and approximately 100-150 student and temporary employees.
• Triton Print & Digital Media (TP&DM) is a self-supporting service enterprise made up of four sub units:
  Print & Document Centers (P&DC), Campus Copier Services (CCS) and Library Printing Services (LPS), Laser Printer Repair (LPR).

• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Working knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems; ability to perform basic financial calculations and analyses.
• Demonstrated fiscal accounting experience with ability to analyze financial data and identify fiscal requirements; reconcile moderate to complex financial data.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports.
• Advanced expertise with computer software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access).
• Experience auditing financial data, formatting financial reports, and communicating budgetary information using complex data and analyses.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex rules and regulations regarding fiscal policies.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, proofreading, and customer service skills.
• Teamwork orientation with ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
• Experience creating/updating spreadsheets and financial statements; education in economics, business administration, accounting, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Problem solving, investigative skills, and analytical abilities; knowledge of internal control practices.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work as part of a team.
• Experience in retail and fund accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and cash handling with POS systems.

• Job offer is contingent upon satisfactory clearance based on Background Check results.
• May be required to work occasional overtime at fiscal year-end.

Pay Transparency
Annual Full Pay Range: $73,205 - $106,634 (will be prorated if appointment percentage < 100%). Hourly: $35.06 - $51.07. The Hiring Pay Scale is the budgeted salary or hourly range the University reasonably expects to pay; the Annual Full Pay Range may be broader due to internal equity and bargaining agreements.
