The Sr. Capital Markets Associate is a senior-level contributor responsible for supporting the execution, analysis, and administration of complex securitizations and capital markets transactions. This role supports the Commercial & Industrial Banking division by driving end‑to‑end deal processes, from collateral due diligence through structuring, closing, and ongoing transaction monitoring. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, familiarity with capital markets structures, and the ability to coordinate across internal and external stakeholders to ensure high‑quality execution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead analytical and operational work streams across securitizations and other capital markets transactions involving specialty finance assets
- Assess collateral pools across diverse asset types, validating data integrity, structural requirements, and eligibility criteria
- Build and maintain detailed Excel models for waterfall projections, cash flow analytics, collateral performance tracking, and risk‑adjusted return analysis
- Draft, update, and deliver transaction materials including investor presentations, deal summaries, and internal approval packages
- Engage directly with issuers, investors, trustees, rating agencies, and internal teams to clarify deal terms and resolve structuring or data issues
- Collaborate with legal, operations, risk, and treasury teams to support seamless transaction execution from structuring through closing
- Apply AI tools—particularly agentic workflows—to automate data validation, enhance portfolio insights, and streamline repeatable securitization processes
- Maintain organized electronic deal files and support monthly/quarterly reporting obligations for active transactions
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of securitization processes, modeling standards, and data automation frameworks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or CFA preferred
- 3+ years of experience in securitization, capital markets, structured finance, or specialty finance analytics
- Demonstrated ability to support and execute complex capital markets transactions with minimal oversight
- Strong Excel modeling skills, including structuring waterfalls, scenario analysis, and stress testing
- Familiarity with AI and data‑driven applications used in capital markets, securitization analytics, or operational automation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting analysis to senior stakeholders and third‑party partners
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, execution‑oriented environment
