Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves assisting clients with individual tax return preparation and providing expert guidance on tax matters. Based in San Diego, California, this position offers a hybrid work model, requiring in-office collaboration one day per week.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and file individual tax returns accurately and efficiently.

- Review and analyze financial data to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

- Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to complete tax preparation tasks.

- Collaborate with clients to understand their financial situations and address tax-related inquiries.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and apply them effectively during tax preparation.

- Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate for filing purposes.

- Provide expert advice on tax-saving strategies and opportunities.

- Work closely with the team to maintain high standards of service and client satisfaction. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation.

- Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax Software.

- Strong knowledge of individual tax returns and relevant tax regulations.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in tax filing.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
