Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations
, the Controller ensures organizational excellence by leading financial management, compliance, and reporting. This role combines hands‑on financial stewardship with strategic leadership.

The Controller serves as the primary point of contact for outsourced bookkeeping partner and oversees both day‑to‑day accounting operations and long‑term financial strategy. This individual is fully integrated into the organization and maintains a strong understanding of programs and fiscal sponsorship model, contributing mission‑aligned financial insights and recommendations.

• Leading monthly and annual close processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
• Managing accounts payable and receivable, including oversight of restricted funds and fiscally sponsored projects
• Developing, monitoring, and forecasting annual budgets in partnership with leadership and department leads
• Preparing financial reports, dashboards, and analyses for executive leadership and Board committees
• Overseeing audits, tax filings (including Form 990), and maintaining strong internal controls
• Managing banking relationships, cash flow, and financial systems, including Quick Books Online
• Training and supporting staff on budgeting and financial management best practices
