Indirect Tax – Unclaimed Property and Escheat Services – Senior

Join EY as a Senior Specialist in Indirect Tax – Unclaimed Property and Escheat Services. In this role you will combine technical knowledge and industry expertise to identify risk and sustainable planning opportunities for clients, while helping us improve processes, reporting, and accuracy of indirect taxes.

Location: Anywhere in Country

• Support client consultations and challenge the unclaimed property and escheat approach for optimal effectiveness.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and collaborate effectively with internal resources.
• Implement knowledge of unclaimed property concepts and requirements.
• Work in a highly collaborative culture, sharing information with colleagues.

• Provide timely and responsive services and work products to satisfy clients.
• Stay informed of current technical developments and apply knowledge to client situations.
• Analyze information thoroughly and accurately; prepare quality approaches and conclusions.
• Demonstrate understanding of complex unclaimed property concepts.
• Contribute to team goals.

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related work experience.
• Technical experience in compliance, audit defense, and consulting for abandoned and unclaimed property services.
• Performance and process advisory experience related to unclaimed property compliance.
• Broad exposure to state and local taxation.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed and work in a balanced hybrid environment.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant unclaimed property consulting experience within a professional services environment.
• Ability to obtain CPA certification, US Bar membership, or an IPT professional designation.

• Comprehensive compensation and benefits package; base salary range $81,700–$135,000 nationwide ( $98,100–$153,500 for NYC Metro, Washington State, and California excluding Sacramento).
