As a Support Engineer at Qualcomm, you will significantly contribute to our product improvement and work with other Engineers to sustain aspects of our product development life cycle. Support Engineers will also play a critical role in resolving technical system issues that promote product reliability. You will have endless opportunities to learn and grow in the Engineering development space.
Preferred Qualifications- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
- • Certification in Electronics or related area.
- • Military experience or training in electronics field (Rank E6+ 2 years).
- • 6+ years of experience with digital HW, SW, and/or analog RF troubleshooting and debugging.
- • 6+ years of experience in a lab environment.
- • 3+ years in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
- • 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr Director level and above).
- Leads a team in complex and cross-functional support activities such as system integration and provides organizational or development support from initial concept through completion phases of projects.
- Contributes to design reviews in collaboration with engineers and leads implementation of complex designs.
- Manages and operates company products and/or components based on specifications, tolerances, and reliability. Monitors product performance, analyzes complex and critical failures or malfunctions, and develops corrective action.
- Facilitates the collection, integration, and interpretation of data and information from multiple sources and stakeholders across teams to help others understand complex and ambiguous specifications and develop solutions to challenging problems.
- Collaborates with cross-functional team members to develop, integrate, and/or execute large initiatives.
- Provides supervision/guidance to other team members.
- Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group.
- Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.
- Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).
